Plant habit: Perennial Bush to 1.5 mtr high
Sow: Spring Summer Direct or tubes, 25mm deep in 20°C. Space 25cm.
Grow: Tolerates drought & wide range of low fertility soils pH 4.5-8.4, cannot withstand water logging.
Pollination: Self -pollinating Crosses with Cajanus cajun
Seed Saving: Shake pods, when they rattle they're dry & ready for collection
Uses: Shelter vegies from wind & sun. Mulch producer, fixes nitrogen. Seeds 25% protein, high in Vitamin A & C. Leaves & young shoots can be eaten cooked. Dried seed used in curries, or ground into a flour. Animal fodder plant.
