Coriandrum sativum



Plant habit: Annual to 60 cm
Sow: Spring, sow direct in the ground 5 mm deep. Seeds germinate between 10-30°C in 7-10 days.
Grow: Part sun with fertile loose well drained soil, with protection from strong winds. Keep well watered. If it dries out it will go to seed.
Pollination: Self fertile Crosses with other varieties of coriander
Seed Saving: Remove seeds when they turn brown and hard. Best to collect seeds in small batches as when they are disturbed they fall to the ground.
Uses: leaf used in salsa, seeds used in curry. Attracts bees. Rich in Vit c.
