REDISTRIBUTION, REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, REGIONAL ENGAGEMENT

CDLA L.E.T.S. (Caboolture & District Local Exchange & Trading System) has been active for 18 years in the Moreton Bay Queensland area, with community members getting many of their everyday needs met by exchanging goods and services between each other, and with members of other regional and national L.E.T.S. or Community Exchange System group members.
The transactions are valued in units of community currency called 'LOCALS'.

The transactions are noted on paper by members, as well as managed electronically through the Community Exchange System (CES), which is accessed on the internet.  A detailed explanation of CES is noted below.

Every L.E.T.S. group benefits the member to the extent they participate.  The members, together with the community, always benefit.

COMMUNITY EXCHANGE SYSTEM (CES)
CDLA LETS uses the Community Exchange System (CES) administration and notification services, as do other LETS and CES groups within Australia and around the world.  We are linked on the internet through a computerised network of Inter-LETS or Inter-Exchange trading.

View and try the CES Demonstration Site.  http://community-exchange.org
Its the real thing but with fictitious users.  The only feature missing are those related to actual inter-exchange LETS trading.

CES provides a method for member users to exchange their goods and services both locally and remotely.  It could also be described as a global complementary trading network that operated without global money as it is commonly understood and used.

You manage your own CDLA account or the CDLA Administrator will help you.  You can add Offerings & Wants to your CES account and get current information about DCLA, as well as updates on trading market days and other related events.

You will also see what is available from other exchanges and perhaps trade with LETS and CES members all over the world.
